Widespread. Absent mainly from hexagons with May precipitation
(hex. avg.) more than 61 mm and with little or no agricultural land.
The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with May precipitation (hex. med.), the extent of public
land, and-to a lesser degree-big sagebrush shrubland, number of
land cover types, June minimum temperature (hex. med.), and July
precipitation (hex. min.).
